A triple album re-release celebrating the 50th anniversary of Mort Garson’s Plantasia.

Overview

In celebration of the upcoming 50th anniversary of his historic creation, “Mother Earth’s Plantasia”, I have redesigned the artwork and informational material for 3 of Mort Garson’s most beloved album.

Challenge

Mort Garson, though a legend in his right, is an often looked over and forgot pioneer of modern electronica. To meet the needs of his experimental cliental and honor his exploratory creative process.

Solution

In this anniversary release, I have included the albums “Mother Earth’s Plantasia”, “Music from Patchcord Productions”, and “Journey to the Moon and Beyond”. In honor of the original purpose of “Mother Earth’s Plantasia”, to create music for the enjoyment of plants, the cover features a live orchestra performance for an audience of different vegetation. “Music from Patchcord Productions” combines a variety of Garson’s lost tracks in an energetic romp through his musical play. The final album “Journey to the Moon and Beyond” includes the atmospheric sounds of the 1969 moon landing, an event few know to be scored by Garson. These albums as a collection offer a celebratory look at the legendary sounds of the post modern electronic movement.
