Challenge
Staying healthy can be an incredibly daunting task. Keeping up with multiple appointments, physician contacts, prescription refills, and other endless tasks associated with maintaining physical health. Many are left frustrated with an overwhelming system, making managing their well-being difficult.
Solution
Our proposed solution would allow users to keep this information in one easy-to-navigate, secure application. A place to catalog all physicians, contact information, appointments, billing information, portal links, documents, family information, and more. With a clear calendar, you can manage your family's upcoming appointments at a glance and create reminders and new events. Our family care hub will allow you to keep files on individual family members and view someone's information quickly. Our targets function will allow users to create goals for themselves and keep track of their health journey. Users can set targets such as reaching a step count goal for the day, drinking a certain amount of water, or making a dentist appointment they have been putting off. With a fun and functional interface, the targets will encourage the user to achieve more of their health goals.

Research
The need for an accessible system for individuals and families to manage their health information is evident in the struggles many have navigating the American healthcare system today. 1 in 4 Americans said they have avoided taking care of medical needs in the last year due to the overwhelming and expensive process. A survey done by the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) found that 65% of U.S. adults feel managing healthcare is “overwhelming” and “time-consuming.”. Currently, the market lacks any real public organizational health solution. Most medical institutions and businesses often have their own individual management systems. If the average person needs to keep up with physical, dental, vision, and mental health information, they will need to juggle a bunch of websites and passwords. These systems typically have little function for the patient themselves.
Competitive Analysis
When assessing the market for a tool which would meet all of our needs, we found a remarkable lack of health tools for the patient. Systems like ZocDoc and Passport health store information regarding physicians and prescriptions and Apple health is a popular tool for tracking things like steps and activity time. When comparing our organizational goals, we looked to Canvas as an information system with high customizability and functionality.
User Interviews
Interviews were conducted on participants of varying health backgrounds, ages, occupations, and lifestyles, as the needs that this solution aims to meet can benefit many different people. Conversations on struggles with the healthcare system and keeping up with multiple physicians and families member
“I keep track of my daughter’s appointments but I have not kept up with my own medical checkups. It just is too overwhelming”
— Kim, 31
“Like even Walgreens, they have my refills but they don't remind me. Getting reminders to schedule my medication refills would be nice”
— Lindsay, 23
“We've only had one doctor each but I couldn't imagine keeping up with more than one doctor. I feel like sometimes it's hard enough to contact the one doctor you need.”
— Daniel, 28
